Boat HireThe general concept of a holiday was about taking a period of time for leisure and recreation, especially one spent away from home or in travelling. This holiday was always deemed to be from Saturday to Saturday however in the modern era, that we are now in, flexibility is the key.
We still offer the Saturday to Saturday narrowboat hire holidays but we also offer so much more. Please see the various pages of this website which are shortened below. If you want a variation on the dates/times we offer please get in touch we can usually accommodate most circumstances. |

Short Break HireWe have an ideal base for short breaks, whether you go north or south.
Some of our boats are available for a Friday or Monday start for short break hire making it possible to do a 2, 3 or 4 night break as well as full weeks or 10/11 night breaks. |

Long Term HireAs well as our usual holiday hire periods, we can offer much longer term rentals of up to six months enabling you to explore the UK canal system more extensively with the peace of mind of 24/7 assistance and back-up from our boat yard.

Winter CruisingDuring winter the canals are wonderfully peaceful and you get a wholly different perspective as with no leaves on the trees your vistas are extended magnificently.
Our cosy canal cruising boats are centrally heated, and you will find many snug canal side pubs to welcome you along the way. |

Single Handed OperationOccasionally we are asked if just one person can operate a boat including going through locks and negotiating everything on the canals.
We are prepared to let anyone do this, subject to their prior boating experience or boating qualifications however we may have to restrict you to which route may be taken. If this is something you would like to do then please contact us telling us about your previous canal experience and/or boating qualifications. |
