Short Break Hire |
|
One, Two or Three
|
Hiring for a week or longer gives you time to enjoy more of the Midlands' extensive canal network. We are ideally located at the heart of the canal network to offer a wide range of cruising routes.
|
Long Term HireWe have a small fleet of boats especially suitable for long term cruising giving you the chance to try life afloat and explore much of the UK's extensive network of over 2500 miles of navigable rivers and canals.
|
Winter CruisingDuring winter the canals are wonderfully peaceful and you get a wholly different perspective as with no leaves on the trees your vistas are extended magnificently.
Our cosy canal cruising boats are centrally heated, and you will find many snug canal side pubs to welcome you along the way. |
Single Handed OperationOccasionally we are asked if just one person can operate a boat including going through locks and negotiating everything on the canals.
We are prepared to let anyone do this, subject to their prior boating experience or boating qualifications however we may have to restrict you to which route may be taken. If this is something you would like to do then please contact us telling us about your previous canal experience and/or boating qualifications. |
Our Boats |
Our well designed wide range of canal holiday hire boats means there’s one right for you.
To ensure your comfort and enjoyment every canal boat is fully equipped with all the furnishings, equipment and utensils you are likely to need. When you collect your canal holiday hire boat everything will have been looked after for you – an engine that has been serviced, a thoroughly cleaned interior and exterior and a fresh supply of bed linen. All our boats are self-drive. We give full instruction of how to operate your boat so even if you have not been on a boat before you will find it very easy. |
Routes |
At the heart of the Canal Network
There are over 2500 miles of inland waterways in England, varying in character wherever they lie. Rose Narrowboats’ fleet is based at Stretton under Fosse, Warwickshire at the heart of this network of waterways, giving you a generous choice of routes to cruise and places to see. Stunning views and scenery A one or two week cruise will allow you to travel quite a distance, either as an out-and-back trip or travelling a “Ring”. Out-and-back means that you can take your time doing whatever you want to do as long as you allow enough time to get back again (the scenery always looks different coming back the other way), whereas travelling a Ring means you have to be more watchful of your timing. But of course you will have fresh views all the way. |
